She has to appeal to HAC for crossover airplay. She's not doing it with EDM songs, either. That audience is a "real music" crowd.
Hac plays songs like wfl and those generic electrotrash songs by taio cruz and enrique iglesias. They also played too close. It depends on how heavy the electronic is I guess. However, they have no problem playing edm it just cant be super heavy and her voice sound robotic. They also wont play anything remotely urban/rap. They cut out colby odonnis part in just dance and I've even heard some hac stations play telephone but cut out beyonces part.
YB would have smashed if it were sung by someone else. It didn't flop just b/c of Xtina herself but a 2 year gap for a comeback after the disaster that was Bionic screwed it over. So in a way Jeff was still right.
