Coldplay has been routinely compared to U2 whose career has spanned for more than 30 years.

U2's longevity has been astounding since they are still selling out stadiums and arenas all over the world.

Will Coldplay be remembered 20 or 30 years from now? Will future generations still listen to Viva la Vida or Clocks, or Paradise in the future?

cold play have so far proven that they can adapt their sound to fit pop music trends for years now, so if they continue to do so then yeah they'll be remembered

The their sales are huge, their tours are huge, they have a unique sound and their music is good, of course they will be remembered, they are one of the few bands are still selling after all these years.

I hope so! They're too amazing to be forgotten. And they seem to have a very solid fanbase when you see their consistent sales, their huge tours, ... I'm sure they'll be remembered. They could even be legendary.

For sure. I mean they have been around for ten years now selling A LOT of records. They are the type if band that makes subtle impact. Much like U2, they draw a VERY loyal fan base. That's what makes the difference at the end of the day.
