IDK. Interscope has been a HUGE mess lately. Actually all the labels have been a MESS wasting huge potentials. But idk how Interscope would've done with BOTH iggy and Banks

Yea, we were discussing this earlier Mac Miller and Macklemore did good, and the advantage is that they actually seem to get more money on their own (which doesn't usually happens when you're a new artist on a major). Her fanbase is still growing and with decent singles and exposure I could see her doing good I guess

But idk, I also think it's nice for an artist to be a part of an actual company helping out with lots of stuff specially in time for a debut album campaign but she doesn't seem to like everything that comes with it AT ALL and LBR so far she has been doing a pretty good job on her own for a white female rapper (plus all the criticism she's already had).

I don't know if Iggy not being on a major is a great idea but I'm sure not being signed to Interscope is, specially when they're about to get in "Lady Gaga mode" again while already being a mess to most of their roster.

IDK. Mac Miller has a decent fanbase BUT there's a reason why he's not a really popular artist. WHY because he does not have a label lbacking him up booking big shows for him. For a new artist like Iggy "new" i dunno if going indie is the best thing since you're gonna need money to back you up and put you out there to get exposure.

Yea, I remember a lot of people back then saying Jimmy Iovine was very excited about Iggy though. We all know how most major labels were trying to get her earlier this year. But then again all these labels are signing every hyped about rapper these days only to seem that they stopped caring during most of their actual releases imo... if it was up to me I'd want Iggy to sign with Def Jam like I think she was initially going to and also grab a managing contract with Roc Nation since she seems to be friends with a lot of people in both places but then again I don't really know a lot about any of this.

He doesn't seem to be a really popular artist but in reality he low-key was on Forbes top 20 earning Hip Hop artists for the last year... and that's what they want.

And I don't think Iggy cares about fame as much as we would expect as we can all realize by now from what she says in her interviews and career decisions.

I definitely understand what you're saying too and Iggy has such a great image already that you get this feeling that with a record label backing and team doing their proper job she would be everywhere.

im so excited for this to finally be out. i hope she gets a big release with good promo. she needs to be getting in some televised performances. without even hearing this next album i know that with some solid promo 2013 will be iggy's year.
