Just a suggestion...

The "don't quote me" crap is really annoying and abrasive. If it becomes a trend I'll probably start warning it. If you don't want to be quoted, don't post on a forum.

Yes Kworb, kick the ignorant off their pedestals.

I don't see the difference? Both generalise, both involve the death of the other stan base.

Yeah --- I hope there's a possibility.

No, what's annoying are people spamming my quote with their ignorance. I want report them without the ignore option. I'm pretty sure the "ignore feature" was created in a similar scenario. Besides, it was a suggestion addressed to the admins and not to you or any other mod..

"BeyHIV" doesn't generalize, it's a direct, very offensive insult to every single person in the Beyhive.
Of course there's a difference between generalizing a fan base and calling them names.

Yes if you ignore them, you don't see them quoting you. Problem solved.

Kworb, can you please answer my post regarding the flamebait point? I posted my rationale on the previous page.

Stan base stereotypes ("Gaga's fans are suicidal") aren't that big of a deal in SYG.

Send a help request. WP complaints that were given by mods who don't lurk here all the time always fall on deaf ears.

Which is why I don't go in there. It's YouTube without videos.
A counselor/psychologist could help them more than SYG ever could.

There was no way you were being warned for those. They were far from insults.

The Hive vs. The Army is more equivalent to The Monsters vs. The Animals, where it's more of an entire base criticizing another artist amongst themselves, for the most part, with only occasional feedback from the fanbase of the artist they're criticizing -- it's essentially an ego boost for the fanbase playing the offense (in this case, The Hive), rather than actual rivalry (which is interesting within itself and brings up a few questions). The Fighters vs. The Army is pure, unadulterated, deep-rooted rivalry, so the conversations are more fun, more witty, and truly hilarious; it's a good time for both bases involved in the battle.

No. The Army drags and shades Christina every change they get without The Fighters doing anything at all. It was like this since 98'. I don't know and I don't care why, but it's not a fun and truly hilarious "battle".
There's no point on doing what The Army does with The Fighters. It's predictable and a waste of time, it's also probably the most ego boosting battle of them all

Oh, I 100% disagree. Especially with the battles I've seen (the one in most recent memory being The Fighters vs. The Army during The Voice vs. The X Factor). And I also notice the pattern of The Fighters usually initiating the battles. It's definitely more fun to watch and be a part of it, even if you get banned in the process.

that's actually a really good analogy.

Christina used to have way more fans (real fans, not temporary fans for the lulz), and they could definitely be very vicious. Britney vs. Christina was always epic back in the day. These days not so much.

All right. Good to know. So, for the most part, it's basically "fine" to do so, but it's still a tiny bit
of a gamble, so if you're on the edge, it may be wise to not post an insult to a fanbase in
SYG, because if a moderator, for whatever reason, has had enough of you, you can
still be warned for off topic in SYG for that post, even though an insult to a
fanbase is rarely warned in SYG. Thanks for clearing that up.
