Lord of the Rings.... and its not even CLOSE

I love both but I prefer The Dark Knight trilogy just that bit more.

I vote LOTR since Batman Begins is not that epic compared to the other 5 films in this thread.



I think it's pretty close. If not, it surely is the closest.

Technically The Lord of The Rings is now a saga. The Hobbit counts towards the movie series as it counted as a prequel to the books as a book.

Still, I voted for The Dark Knight trilogy. Such a breath of fresh air into the Batman name especially after it was butchered by Batman and Robin.

I'm not here for TLOTR, I only saw the first one and thought it was so damn long and a little bit boring (the effects were TOTALLY AWESOME) but I prefer TDK

Id pick The Dark Knight as the best movie of the six, and The Lord Of The Rings as the best trilogy.

Lord of the Rings. I enjoy the Dark Knight trilogy but it's overrated.

Although, TDK trilogy is my favorite comic to movie adaptation.

This ain't even fair. LOTR by far. I actually re-watched the LOTR trilogy recently, it's amazing how it remains unaged and still as epic and enjoyable after a decade.

I liked Batman Begins, loved The Dark Knight, but lbr The Dark Knight Rises sucked.

Lord of the Rings grabs Batman by his wig and throws him head first into the fires of Mordor.

The two aren't comparable, bye.

A more apt comparison would be the Spider-Man Trilogy vs the Batman trilogy or The LOTR mythos vs A Song of Fire and Ice. This thread is going to be purely judged based on personal preference in the genre, both films set out to accomplish entirely different things.
