On what planet does a work that incorporates elements of electro,house,disco,rock,gothic,New Wave,flamenco, and country all mixed together on one album NOT count as being experimental?

In my eyes Born This Way has the edge over Warrior because of the running basslines, occasional industrial-esque production and vocal technique used in songs like Government Hooker, but they have the same metacritic score so I don't know why you're all going mad over the comparison.

But you can't say that Animal or Cannibal are better than any of Gaga's albums b/c that's just ridiculous. Animal is pretty terrible tbh.

I'm curious as to how sales indicate how good an album is. Frank Ocean's "channel. orange" has sold only 300k copies to date, yet remains more critically lauded and praised then anything Gaga has ever released.

Also, what impact has "Born This Way" made? It didn't change the sound of music, it didn't make anyone want to replicate it and duplicate it. It made no relative change to the industry at all. (Not that I'm implying "Warrior" will either.)

If you're going to argue impact with Gaga, use "The Fame". Girls were flocking to dance Pop after it was released. Same with "Animal" - she was credited with re-introducing electropop to the mainstream.

How did Animal bring into the mainstream something that was already being done in 2008 and 2009? Lady Gaga herself was doing electropop before "TiK ToK" smashed, its heard throughout her first two releases.

There is a very prominent difference between Electropop and Dancepop. Gaga was not doing electro-pop until Born This Way (and no, I'm not implying she copied Ke$ha in any way.)
