That can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. My wisdom teeth aligned the rest of my teeth for me, so I didn't have to get braces after they were pulled out.

They had to cut into my gums, too and I had stitches in my mouth, too. They had a tough time when they were trying to take them out But that wasn't my fault.
I had another problem I almost forgot, though. My jaw joint creaks now

I had all 4 removed when I was 15, back in summer 2006. They put me to sleep, which was great. One minute I'm talking, the next minute the ceiling started darkening.

The most painful part was the ride home. Every little bump and noise irritated my mouth. I spent the first two days just sleeping because of the Vicodin. I spent the rest of the week inside because I was waiting for the swelling to go down. I remember by day 3 or 4, I tried eating a hotdog and nearly choked to death.

The nasty part would have to be the blood that continually pools in your mouth on the first day. After that it would have be the horrible taste the blood leaves in your mouth. You can't brush your teeth, so there's not much you can do about it except for eating applesauce to hide it.

Well, I say do it.

Oh, and gargle saltwater like your life depends on it. I wasn't really doing it and my dentist got mad at me. He said it's imperative to the heal process.
