Ke$ha's career a watered-down version of Gagas
I'm sure everyone else has noticed the elephant in the room. And her career is basically a cruder, simplistic version of Gaga's
First there's The epic party banger (In Gaga's case two) to open with and propel them to stardom. At this point they are both still the fun new party gir. They extend their first era with a few moderate hits not straying too far from the formula. Imagery and character is slightly quirky but for the most part fun and poppish
Then release an EP named an altered version of your debut album, with dark artwork and a weirder image, musically go a bit darker but maintain the same dance pop formula. Let it cool for a bit.
Step 3, begin the hype for the second album. Spew nonsense about the album, say it will revolu$hunise pop music, album of the decade, fabricate crap about new genres and refer to styles of music found no where on the actually album. Of course the levels of hype differed for each respective artist but not for lack of trying.
Finally drop your mess of an album with some godawful cover that everyone thinks is a joke at first and your weirdest artwork yet. Underperform and dont live up to the hype (in Gaga's case this means selling 6 million for Kesha it just means flopping everywhere and no one caring). But most crucially of all ramble ad nauseum about how the album is about self empowerment and how you were bullied as a kid and wah wah wah
Like, does no one else see it?
