Yes. It's good to start out open otherwise you'll get ridiculed by the media if you come out later and your career will tank.

Not until my 2nd album. I can't think of one huge gay make pop artist who was big while out.

Regardless, it is my personal life. Celebrities don't have to tell everyone about their personal life.

Probably not, I'd try and keep my personal life as private as possible

I'm already out, so I don't think I would find it necessary to come out again to the public after becoming famous.

I wouldn't want to be defined by it either, so I would not bring it up (as if it was a big deal).

Yes, I'd be open about it from the start.

My albums would be open books, I'd spill my personal life in my lyrics. Just like my fave.

It's more difficult to have success if you're openly gay so I'd probably not say outright I was gay, but I wouldn't say I was straight either. I'd keep it a grey area at first and if I got into a relationship I'd be open about it.

Despite what people say, being a debut gay artist could hurt your career more than it could help. People are still willing to reinforce negative stereotypes against gay actors/singers/etc., even to the extent of type casting all gay actors.

If he came out in the beginning he never would've had all the success he had previously.

I would wait. If someone were to ask i'd neither say yes or no.
