I want to thank you for this Evun. This is the first post that has explained it thoroughly, and has, more to the point, approached it - and me - with a modicum of respect and thoughtfulness. But, as I said before, PP wasn't warned for racism, disruption or insensitivity ...

... but for flamebait. She has a history of being anti-Ocean, and it begs the question - why was she in the thread in the first place? I'll think about it, but my gut tells me I made the right decision.

I don't see anything wrong with that point. Lemme try to use an example which ATRL would understand better:

e.g. Britney got taken into hospital again for whatever personal reasons. Some well known hater comes into the thread with "Not surprised" comment. Obvious flamebait is obvious.

Katy Perry fans, I'm not being facetious at all, sarcastic or anything. There's some miscommunication here. I truly don't understand how you think the warning point - which wasn't for racism, but for baiting - is not valid or appropriate. I'm all for working with members, and am willing to reverse it if I have made a mistake (I do reversals more than most moderators, out of a genuine spirit of community), so if you could explain it (with no rudeness please), I'd be more than willing to reconsider.

If I was not a moderator, and walked into a thread entitled "Nicole Scherzinger gets fired" and said "Not surprised," given my history with her on this board, would that not be baiting?

If Vato entered a thread entitled "Rihanna beats Beyonce" at life and said "Not surprised," would that not be baiting?

If Foxay did the same thing with a thread called "Britney finally wins over Christina," would that not be baiting?

Everyone knows that it's against the board's rules to use another poster's picture without their permission. I was the only mod on last night; if it weren't me, any other mod would have warned him for that. That's strictly against policy.
