The best POP track of the year. It's probably one of the catchiest songs to ever exist, yet it doesn't get old. The endearing vocal performance and charming lyrics take this song to another level of greatness other bubblegum pop heaven songs haven't done in years.
The standout song from the hugely acclaimed Channel Orange is really quite something. It's a 10 minute three-in-one kind of deal dedicated to a stripper. Frank's wordplay and detached vocals really make this song amazing. It doesn't seem like a 10 minute song at all! Even John Mayer's moment is awesome.
This was kind of just a random song St. Vincent threw out for her fans (I think?), but it's amazing. It's her utilizing the more intense, violent side of her sound, to create a punk-y pop anthem. Her sense of pose and class still shines through her semi-distorted vocals to create a new sound for her, but still part of her signature sound.

"Pyramids" is absolutely lovely. It manages to keep me interested for the full 10 minutes.

I feel like you and I were the only ones that knew about this track.
It's simply amazing. I would LOVE for her to go down this direction for her next album.
One could easily make the argument that 2012 was Azealia's year. It's not hard to see why, with two "official" releases, and tons of songs, Azealia garnered a strong fanbase online. This song is just one of the reasons why I love her, but it's definitely her best song. The beat keeps a watery effect to match the water themed lyrics ("these public pool bitches ain't really mermaids..."). It's stuttery, and Azealia's flow jumps all around the place. It completely immerses me in the song every time I listen to it.
