It really is an amazing album and I'm more then happy that I took a second a listen because of you, because I understand how it is to connect to one of their albums so well, and I love that about them, a lot of artist lack the ability to connect with an audience and especially with Pop-Punk Alternative type bands like PTV sometimes the music just fly through your head, but one of their biggest strengths I think is how well they can make you connect to any one of their songs.
And it really is amazing how Vic's vocals have improved because I remember them getting a lot of critique for that whiny style of singing (even if it kind of made me love them a lot), nothing is better then hearing your favorite artist show growth and evolve with their music.

I still can't believe you gave it a second chance because of me, I feel that's like one of my biggest achievements in life
but you're totally right, in that genre, not every band has this depth and connection with their fans, and I think there's also a lot of artists that sound the same and don't manage to stand out among the others, they don't have that certain special something, but PTV are different. they are versatile, hard-working, a great live band and putting a lot of effort into the relationship with the fans.
haha, I also fell in love with them because of Vic's voice, it really didn't bother me and I never even thought his vocals on Selfish Machines were anywhere near bad. but then I heard CWTS and it was like, whoa, this is on a complete other level! his singing is more pleasant to the ears now but he still remained his unique tone I think. and the others improved their skills as well. there's more skilled bass parts, more complex guitar riffs and righter drum beats than ever before.
I already got Slim to listen to them and he loved them, but if anything else decides to check them out because I mentioned them here, I'm gonna be so happy

Really need to give it another shot. Miguel has a similar sound right now (retro, soul, funk, rock influences...), but his music is somehow more up my alley...
