The odds are stacked against her, but here's something to note:

1.) Album of the Year nominees have lost this category several times before.
2.) Fun. and Maroon 5 are pop groups, and Kelly and P!nk are female pop/rock artists. There could be a case where they all split votes, making Florence the winner.
3.) As noted in the OP, British females have won this category before, so Florence could easily be the fifth.

I'm not convinced that Fun. will dominate, and I'm also not convinced that Kelly will win this category for such a non-event. No artist has won this category twice. P!nk has only one nomination and that's here. Maroon 5 could win it since they have had a fantastic year.

I forgot that Shake It Out is nominated as well. Even if the album doesn't win, snubbing Shake It Out would be blasphemous.

This is such a torture, I love Ceremonials and it's literally the best album of the year imo. It even got #1 on my countdown. But I love Kelly so much and I want her to win another Grammy soo badly and if she won this one, she would set a record since no one has ever won Best Female Pop Album twice. So I don't know who to root for. Thsi is awful

Id really love for Florence to take this but I think Maroon 5 has it.

And yes, guys. Maroon 5 has a chance at winning here. Their album has done well and produced hits. Plus, they are heavy-hitters in the industry. Critical acclaim doesn't always play a factor in these categories. I actually think they have a better chance than Fun, even with their across the board nominations.

I dunno, babe, I think Maroon 5 has this Best Female Pop Album on lock.

Florence deserves it, by FAR.

It's the riskiest, it's the most experimental, it's the most sonically striking. It's got the highs, the lows, the epic -moments- that an Album of the Year needs. None of the other 4 albums come even close to having any of those traits.
