Fun. It was such a contrast to My December. But it also had a lot of sad songs though, like Cry, Already Gone, Save You. So maybe it was more between Mid and Fun.
It may seem fun, but I personally consider it dark.
Kelly tried to break free from her pop chains and become a legitimate rock artist, but flopped pretty badly, and her career was almost ruined in the process.
In a attempt to regain her audience, she was ordered to make a pop album, and realizing she couldn't beat the system, complied with their demands.
You don't go from having such a severe stance like the one she took in My December to pretending everything is happy and fine in All I Ever Wanted. I can imagine she was crying inside the whole time and a piece of her died that never truly came back.
Light, fluffy, fun and candy coated. I mean just look at the single covers. There are some pretty dark songs on the record, but they're all so glossy and overproduced, that it almost overtakes it.
