Based on what? Some dumb ass inaccurate scale? You cannot measure happiness and whatnot unless you know the tea on all the residents living there.

Norway isn't Capitalist? Anyway, Norway is the best place to live. I want to go there some day, although Canada is great too. Norway, Canada, Sweden, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, UK, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg.
Anyway, I guess the biggest/worst problem in Canada would be our slow population growth I guess. People are having less and less kids and that won't be too good on our economy in the future. Crime rates, education, healthcare, immigration, etc. are all pretty good. We're also a very liberal + progressive country which I LOVE. Even our "Conservative" party is more left wing than the American "Democratic/Liberal" party and has kept gay marriage and abortion legal throughout the whole country, we have full (!!! ) rights for everyone unlike our corrupt neighbours to the south. We're more like western Europe/Scandinavia than the US in the area of social issues.
Anyway, another thing I don't like about Canada is that there is a pretty big gap b/w rich in poor like there is in America and unfortunately we are a consumerist/materialist society like them. I want us to be more social, borderline communist but no dictators and still a democracy/constitutional monarchy like it is today. Equal opportunity for everyone who works for it instead of bigger advantages for the rich.
EDIT: I forgot to add this, we also need a strengthened social service system (it's already good but there's always room for improvement), same with education. We also need to have better environmental regulations.
*sigh* I always get depressed when I think of this stuff b/c I start imagining a perfect world and then reality hits me in the face again. I also strongly agree w/ you on the resource thing. The difference between western countries and developing countries is just...

Norway is capitalist, but not the extreme version. There are people to take care of you if something goes wrong. The authorities won't let you down. I hear about 40 million Americans are considered "poor" or "below minimum wage" - well, that's not a problem in Norway. Also, when you get pregnant, you get almost a full year off - and they pay you for that. Hospital bills are paid for by the state up until you're six years old, and because everybody contributes to paying taxes, you'll never get a really huge bill from the hospital. DON'T LET ME GET STARTED ON THE PRISONS!! They have EVERYTHING! Flat-screens, computers, food, comfortable beds... Luxury! Also, women are really doing their thing over here. There are a lot more women getting higher education, and grade-wise, they are doing better than men. Equality
Canada sounds a lot like Norway. Even our "rightest" party is more "left" than the liberal parties in the US.
And, you just summed up everything that I believe in: " I want us to be more social, borderline communist but no dictators and still a democracy/constitutional monarchy like it is today. Equal opportunity for everyone who works for it instead of bigger advantages for the rich"!!! YES!!!

Oh girl bye. Let me not point out the Norway attacks some years ago. If your country was so perfect that would never have happened. No country comes close to perfect, not even ''almost perfect''. Every country has its problems because people just CAUSE problems. Doesn't matter if you're living in Mexico, Madagascar, North Korea or even Vatican City.

Well, I did write a little about that in my comment. There are a few extremists environments, but generally, there is little racism, little difference between people, no social classes, etc. There's been like one case scenario of lunacy, while it seems common everywhere else. Americans are allowed to carry guns for God's sake There are problems in every country, yes, but it is a FACT that there are better opportunities for everybody in Norway compared to many countries.

Anyway,Norway really sounds perfect. Not only the extremely high per capita income, but everything else as well.Their people seem quite rational, liberal and tolerating too.

Probably the fact we don't get to choose our own Government. The current Government of the UK only got 1 out of a potential 59 Scottish parliament seats, so how is it fair they're in charge of what we do? (Answer: It's not.)

Like, I understand why they won, since they got a support of the majority of UK voters, but look atr that above map and try to tell me that Scotland is fairly represented in parliament.

Many people don't get proper education and teachers from state schools ask for better rights yet they refuse to receive constant training. As a consequence, corruption, crime and poverty are high in the whole country and people can be brain-washed easily by receiving supply of food.

I love germany...but the problem is that many people have too many prejudices and they wont fade in the near future. The first thing many (uneducated dumb) people mention when i say that im from germany is either hitler or that all germans are nazis. Which is just ********...and kinda sad tbh
And all they know about germany is the Oktoberfest or the leather pants (thats just a bavarian tradition).
BERLIN>>>>>>ur lifeeee (lmao jk...but i love my home town)
