PETS: How close are you to them?
I've been meaning to make this thread forever, so here it is.
How close are you to your pet(s)? Do you sleep with them, let them lick your plates, eat off your fork, let them lay on the couch, or let them kiss you on the tongue? I ask this because I've recently encountered some people who let their pets do this stuff. Maybe it's because I don't have pets, but all of the aforementioned things creep me out. We weren't allowed to have pets (even tho I worked a cat into the house and my brother snuck some dogs in over the years) and I don't think I want any. Well, no dogs.
I understand if you call your pets you're kids, I do. I'll never understand how someone can let their pets eat off of the SAME FORK THEIR USING TO EAT or letting their pets lick their tongue, tho. It makes not want to eat over at your house. You can say a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's all you want, but it's going to fall on deaf ears 'round these parts. It's just.... Ugh.... I'm trying not to sound judgemental, but I just don't get this. There has to be some boundaries. Speaking of boundaries, I can't stand when a dog will come up to you while you're eating and expect you to give him something. Girl, train your dog.
Let's hear from you guys.

I can understand letting a pet sleep with you. I used to let me cat sleep with me all the time. There's no harm in that.
As for licking the tongue, I would freak out. I get really squeamish when a dog licks my face.

I don't let my dog lick my face either because he licks his own penis a lot.
My dog is the king of the house, but hygene is also important.

I love my puppy, she's adorable and she loves to give kisses. I let my cat sleep in my bed since it's cold outside and she's pregnant.

I have three cats and two dogs and I let one of my cats sleep on my bed, and I let my dogs lick my face, but I wouldn't let it lick my tongue, or eat my food

I let my cat sleep right next to me in my bed and I even got a little pillow that I put next to mine so she can feel like we're doing the same thing I'll let her lick my plates or silverware after I'm done with them And if she got stuck in the rain I'll dry her off with a towel and comb her. I love my kitty

My Hamster named Rihallah is treated like a Queen. She only drinks the purest of Spring Water, the finest pellets made out of organic materials and she has multiple tunnels leading through my apartment so the cats don't eat her. She even has her very own ball she travels around in with her name plastered on the front.
The lesser Hamsters dont have **** on her.

My kitty sleeps against my foot at night in the fall/winter. I also put a small pillow underneath the comforter in the bottom corner so that she can lean on that if I want to move my feet. I definitely let her lick my plate/silverware when I'm done with it too! But I don't like kitty germs so I won't share unless I'm certain I'm finished, haha. She rarely licks me, but if she does it'll be my hand. She prefers to purr as a sign of affection. Her white fur immaculate and super shiny, even though she's 17. I've had her since I was 5 I will be devastated when she dies.

I love my cat She was only 2 weeks old about to die from starvation when I found her I let her sleep on my bed if she wants. I also give her food off my plate if it's like fish or something she likes. I put it on a separate plate of her food bowl though. I don't let her eat off my plate.

My cat is my life! He's so adorable and he always sleeps me. I give him whatever food he likes even though he's not even a year old. He's just my baby.

My dog is VERY important to me. I sleep with him, eat with him, play with him, he's basically my best friend. But I don't let him eat on my plate lmao that's disgusting and dogs have different hygiene than humans. I let him sleep on the couch tho. At least now he knows where to dump his **** and his not that messy anymore.
