If an android evokes such fear in your life then yes I would recommend grandma approved phones for your use.

I love Android too.. especially because I'm an IT/hacker student. But I'm just a Nokia fan since forever, and I'm staying loyal

You can't go wrong with any flagship android device or the new Lumias right now.

Yeah whatever. It's between the iPhone 5 and the 920 for me. I'm not scared to say that I'm not that intelligent with technology so I'm sticking with something safe. I admire Samsung for giving us top of the line devices tho. Definitely the 920 for me since I really don't like the iPhone 5 that much.

I think it's smart to stay with a pure device like the iPhone 5 or mentioned above the Nokia Lumnia.

I would not get a S3 because its basically skinned and has bloat ware. It's made with cheap plastic , and because of the software skin it's not a good investment since you can't get a full two years using it.

An iPhone is a great investment because they keep their value when you want to sell (don't believe me, look at sites for buying used phones). They also get full support by Apple for years.

I would also look into the Nokia Lumnia, it's a line of Windows phones.

Android is awesome.

I assure you it's not cheap plastic. It's actually a high grade polymer that in many applications is actually tougher than ceramic/metals. If course if the polymer back annoys you there are several replacement backs made out of alternative materials (like metal and ceramic)

and as far as the skin/'bloatware', you shouldnt worry about that since 1: It has 2GB RAM that more than makes up for any OS Memory usage and 2: every Android flagship device made with ICS in mind will get updates for many years to come, and Samsung in particular are pretty good with phone updates. Of course there are also 1 click tools to remove the bloat and/or update also...
