The MTV Reality Blog confirmed that MTV has cancelled Laguna Beach and will instead film a new series with a new cast in Newport Beach, a neighboring beach town made popular by FOX's The O.C.. It has been noted that the cancellation was made due to the ratings dip during Season 3 because of the casting overhaul. However, reruns of all 3 seasons of Laguna Beach will air on the The-N starting 2 July 2007.

LMAO. The show died after the first season and the last one was just terrible. Nobody cares about the younger kids...in fact, nobody really cared about the first season's cast, but it did produce about three people that have careers in Hollywood now. ;p
