At the end of the day, ratings in the US are more important then some Europeans or South Americans viewing the X-Factor streaming from VIPbox.com or something. I watched this season of X-Factor and the truth is it did below expectations for ratings throughout the whole season compared to American Idol and The Voice.
The irony in this all is that the peak time of tweeting probably happened when many twitter users were complaining about Carly not winning and the show failing to find a good winner
Edit: Don't take this as an attack on Britney. I watched because of Britney, but the show's ratings and entertainment was lackluster.
