OVER.
Everyone has their own idea of what the early, mid or late part of a decade is supposed to mean. I consider the first three years of a decade 'early', the final three years of a decade 'late' and the middle four years of a decade 'mid'. Hence 2010 - 2012 = early 10s, 2013 - 2016 = mid 10s and 2017 - 2019 = late 10s. My approach to this apportioning of years in a decade isn't illogical. Historically, the world in the first three years of one decade is incredibly similar to how it was in the previous decade and major changes don't occur til around the fourth year. (1990-1992 not very different from 1980s; 1993 - 1999 very different from 1980s)
All that is unimportant.
Anyway, WHAT do you think will be remembered from the first three years of this decade in terms of music, style, fashion, movies, entertainment, food, recreation, people, politics, etc.?

The battle between indie alternative music and dance pop music for the top spot on charts.
And the amazing songs that came out of the era, such as everything Gaga, Somebody That I Used To Know, and Rihanna's streak of hits.

Music sucked if you listened to the radio. If you listened to niche music (EDM, indie, urban, country) you were fine though.
Movies were pretty good, there were several blockbuster hits but also several flops, especially in the rom-com department.

Hold It Against Me will be remembered in the long run just like how Blackout got its acclaim after years of existence
Other than that, only Adele's 21 and Katy's Teenage Dream

Now that I think about it I feel like I'm getting old if the early-10s are already over! They weren't even that good.

The end of Harry Potter is more memorable than any and all musical events. End of story.

The ONLY musical achievement of the early 2000s that will be slightly memorable is "21," "Born This Way" single," Kanye's "MBDTF," and Katy Perry having 5 (really 6) #1 singles from Teenage Dream.
