Why do people get all crazy about skin bleaching but it is ok to tan? I think it's such a racist double standard. What do you feel about it? and no not all skin bleachers look as crazy as michael Jackson.

yes there are extreme bleachers who look bad but then again there are extreme tanners who look just as bad.

I think they're both gross.

I also think it's because tanning isn't permanent, while bleaching your skin to change the pigment is.

Skin bleaching is NOT permanent. The skin will always want to produce melanin so you will have to continue to bleach to stay light and use sun block and avoid the sun

Most tanning is done naturally. Plus, bleaching seems like it's more about changing who you are than just how you look.

Both of them are harmful.

Skin bleaching contains the chemical mercury which can kill you. Tanning can cause cancer. Both of them will give you an early death, but its all in the name of beauty.

Not all bleaching creams use mercury. mercury has been banned for many years and mercury based creams are usually only found in rural nations such as african nations

Because tanning (in most cases) happens naturally, bleaching is desperate and wrong (in most cases unless you suffer from a skin disease).

Like other people have said, tanning is something that naturally happens. If you go out in the sun, you're gonna tan unless you take precautions not to. With bleaching you have to do specific things to make it happen like use creams, it's not something that's going to just naturally happen, you have to force the change of your skin tone.

Nudity occurs naturally yet people wear clothes. Body odor occurs naturally yet we still bathe. Ugliness can occur naturally yet many wear makeup lol

First off I lighten myself if I get too tan and can't wear my $80 fondation and expensive ass accesories.... I'm positive like 90% of people lighten their skin. If you'e ever used acne medicine you've lightend your skin. If you've ever used Vit C, skin peels, anti aging creams, scrubs YOU'RE LIGHTENING YOUR SKIN. so please sit. aIn't no body got time to look homeless.
