I was a fan of Ellie last year when she opened for Katy, but I found her to be forgettable. But when she came out with Halcyon I was blown away. I loved nearly every track on the first listen. Of course now I have settled into the album and skip a few tracks, but I only skip three tracks on a 22 album CD. I think that is pretty impressive.

I use every track besides ONE, and I don’t even hate that track, it’s just really awkwardly repetitive. I loved Marina ever since The Family Jewels era and I was really excited for this new album. I finally got it and loved it every time I listened to it. Some tracks I wasn’t set on right away, but in the end I ended up loving every single track (besides one) and I decided it was my favorite of 2012. Top 3: Radioactive, Lies, How To Be A Heartbreaker Bottom 1: Living Dead
