Oath, Try and Crash Your Party are my favorites from this set
I'm glad people enjoy Karmin, they're too hated here! I especially love their new Christmas song
DRjuss06's BEST OF 2012
"THE END OF THE WORLD"
PT. 4
Well if you are still alive here is the 4th Update of my chart, thanks everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!
SONGS (80-71)
80. Feel So Close- Calvin Harris- Peak: 3
One of my favorite tracks by Calvin and one of my favorites from the album. The song should've been a chart topper but it charted in a time where it was just not possible.
2011: Tonight I'm ****ing You- Enrique Iglesias feat. Ludacris
2010: Dog Days Are Over- Florence + The Machine
79. Honestly- Kelly Clarkson- Peak: 1 [x2]
One of my favorite songs from the album and one of my faves by Queen Kelly.
2011: Swagger Jagger- Cher Lloyd
2010: Loca- Shakira feat. Dizzie Rascal/El Cata
78. You Love Me- Kelly Clarkson- Peak: 1 [x2]
Another jam by Kelly. This song is actually one of my most played songs of the year along with Stronger, Dark Side and Honestly.
2011: Turning Tables- Adele
2010: Umbrella- Rihanna feat. Jay-Z
77. Beauty And A Beat- Justin Bieber feat. Nicki Minaj- Peak: 2
My favorite song from "Believe" and probably one of the best he has released. I really don't like the album and Justin is annoying but this one is an exception.
2011: Roman's Revenge- Nicki Minaj feat. Eminem
2010: **** You!- Cee Lo Green
76. Queen Of California- John Mayer- Peak: 1 [x2]
This song charted on the force of the video which was amazing and it kinda reminds me of the video of WANEGBT, you know Taylor took some notes from King Mayer lol Awesome songs and the first song from "Born And Raised" to make the chart.
2011: ****** In Paris- Kanye West & Jay-Z
2010: The Only Exception- Paramore
75. Glad You Came- The Wanted- Peak: 5
One of the best pop songs of the year.
2011: Skyscrapper- Demi Lovato
2010: Give A Little More- Maroon 5
74. Triumphant- Mariah Carey feat. Rick Ross & Meek Mill- Peak: 1 [x1]
This is the 2nd entry by Mariah and the only by both other rappers. The song was Mariah's 3rd song to make the chart and her first #1.
2011: You- Romeo Santos
2010: Poker Face- Lady Gaga
73. Blown Away- Carrie Underwood- Peak: 2
This song was unfortunately the 2nd Top 2 by Carrie as both of her songs stopped at #2. The video of the song is amazing and i love Carrie 'cause she can sing her ass of.
2011: ****in' Perfect- P!nk
2010: All Of The Lights- Kanye West feat. Rihanna
72. Leave My Body- Florence + The Machine- Peak: 1 [x1]
Amazing song and one of my favorites from the album. The live version that i saw in concert blew me away.
2011: Strange Clouds- B.o.B. feat. Lil' Wayne
2010: Colourless Colour- La Roux
71. Rumour Has It- Adele- Peak: 1 [x3/2011]
Amazing song and my favorite from 21 which was my #2 album of 2011. The song was #26 last year not a bad drop. This is also the first song to reach the chart that also reached last year.
2011: **** You!- Cee Lo Green
2010: Your Love- Nicki Minaj
TOP ALBUMS OF THE YEAR (18-17)
18. MYLO XYLOTO- COLDPLAY
Amazing album by one of my favorite bands. The album's first and 2nd single made me fall in love with the album but whenever "Princess Of China" leaked thats when i became obsessed with it. Unfortunately my chart is based primarily on song placement on the Best Of chart and none of the songs on the album really made an impact on this years' best of so the album makes it this far on the strength of me just loving the album. The album was #8 in 2011.
2011: Planet Pit- Pitbull
2010: N/A
Key Tracks:
-Princess Of China
-Paradise
-Charlie Brown
-Us Against The World
-Every Teardrop is A Waterfall
-Up In Flames
-Hurts Like Heaven
17. Formula Vol. 1- Romeo Santos
Awesome album. I loved Aventura since i was like 13 and this album just proved why he was the mastermind behind all of the awesomeness of the band. Oddly enough the album places at the same exact spot as last year something i did not notice until writing this, weird!!!!
2011: Formula Vol. 1- Romeo Santos
2010: N/A
Key Tracks:
-Promise
-La Diabla
-You
-Mi Santa
-Llevame Contigo
-Rival
TOP ARTIST OF THE YEAR (21-20)
21. KATY PERRY
I Love Katy and she places this low just because there wasn't an album supporting her and because the singles did not place very high on the list this year. I need her to release new music like now. It was a big drop since he was #4 last year and #8 in 2010.
2011: Drake
2010: N/A
20. DRAKE
I love Drake, he's awesome!!!!!!!!!
2011: Foster The People
2010: Jay-Z
DRjuss06's BEST OF 2012
"THE END OF THE WORLD"
PT. 5 & 6
Thank you guys for all of your support like always, now let's get to this.
Now this is going to be a big update, actually i am combining two updates into one because well I'm not going to have much time in the next couple of days, busy busy busy, well ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
SONGS (70-51)
70. Just A Fool- Christina Aguilera & Blake Shelton- Peak: 1 [x2]
One of my favorite songs from that album. The song became Christina's 5th #1 and Blake's 1st. The song took off on my chart thanks to the Voice performance of the song.
2011: The One That Got Away- Katy Perry
2010: Fancy- Drake feat. T.I. & Swizz Beatz
69. I Wont Give Up- Jason Mraz- Peak: 3
This song just would not give up, for reals lol Amazing song and the perfect first entry for Jason into my charts. Unfortunately the song happened to chart during the STIUTK/WAY/ Stronger reign so it was blocked for a well deserved Top spot.
2011: Yeah 3X- Chris Brown
2010: We R Who We R- Ke$ha
68. Ride- Lana Del Rey- Peak: 1 [x1]
Amazing song and the video of this song is just perfection. It kinda reminds me of Gaga's Judas video because of all of the bad ass motorcycles in it.
2011: Super Bass- Nicki Minaj
2010: Coming Home- Diddy-Dirty Money feat. Skylar Grey
67. International Love- Pitbull feat. Chris Brown- Peak: 3
This song takes the cake as one of the biggest recurrent hits on my chart. The song is probably one of the most played songs by Pit in the radio last year. I love Chris' part of course and they should collaborate once again.
2011: Just In Love (Remix)- Joe Jonas feat. Lil' Wayne
2010: Innocent- Taylor Swift
66. Get Sleazier- Ke$ha feat. Andre 3000, T.I. Lil' Wayne & Wiz Khalifa- Peak: 3
THE JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome song, i love how all these rappers showed Ke$ha so much love. This should've been an official single but wait RCA sucks ass.
2011: Rain Over Me- Pitbull feat. Marc Anthony
2010: Christmas Tree- Lady Gaga
65. Dance Again- Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull- Peak: 1 [x1]
The 3rd collabo by these two with JLO in the lead. Awesome!!! Awesome video. Too bad it flopped so hard but anyways, great jam!!!!
2011: Perfectly Lonely- John Mayer
2010: 25 To Life- Eminem
64. Scheibe- Lady Gaga- Peak: 4
This song was the first song by Gaga to reach the top 5 from "Born This Way" and not make it to #1. The song faced so much competition like "I Wont Give Up" by Mraz, actually she peaked @ #4 when he held the top 3 spot. Anyways the song is a jam and should have been a single.
2011: Alguien Mas- Belinda
2010: Peacock- Katy Perry
63. Begin Again- Taylor Swift- Peak: 1 [x2]
Here's the thing with Taylor and her "Red" singles, she spends too much time @ #2 and not enough on top lol Unfortunately just like WANEGBT which was blocked by John Mayer for 11 days, this song faced the wrath of "Sweet Nothing" which blocked it for over 10 days also. Anyways the song still reached #1. The video is very pretty.
2011: Beautiful People- Chris Brown feat. Benny Benassi
2010: Oh Santa!- Mariah Carey
62. Hasta Que Te Conoci- Mana- Peak: 2
This song will go in the history of 2012 as the song that should've reached the top spot but just couldn't. The song was a surprise for me because lately i have not been feeling Mana's songs but this one right here reminds me of late 90s mana which is awesome.
2011: Take Care- Drake feat. Rihanna
2010: In For The Kill- La Roux
61. Brokenhearted- Karmin- Peak: 2
Another song that peaked at #2 that deserved the top spot. The song was blocked by JLo and Pitbull when "Dance Again" jumped 17-1 thanks to a rise in Airplay after i went out one night and the song was played soooo much. The next day the song was blocked by the 1st of 22 consecutive days by Rihanna's juggernaut "Where Have You Been" that ended up accumulating 46 days on top, the most ever.
2011: Lighters- Bad Meets Evil feat. Bruno Mars
2010: Gravity- John Mayer
THE TOP 60!!!!!
60. Give Your Heart A Break- Demi Lovato- Peak: 1 [x1]
The surprise hit of 2012. I was like on the bandwagon and the song made it to #1 on outside Airplay mainly since i actually didn't play it that much. Great song and the video is pretty. The song has been everywhere this year.
2011: Where Have You Been- Rihanna
2010: Bachata En Fukuoka- Juan Luis Guerra
59. Titanium- David Guetta feat. Sia- Peak: 1 [x2]
This is Sia's last song to make the chart and David's first of two. The song is amazing and the video is pretty interesting.
2011: Mean- Taylor Swift
2010: Dynamite- Taio Cruz
58. Both Of Us- B.o.B. feat. Taylor Swift- Peak: 1 [x1]
This is weird but good. This song made it to #1 but B.o.B's other song "So Good" only made it to #2. The weird thing is that "So Good" made it into the Top 40 while this song barely scratched the Top 50. This is the main reason why sometimes reaching #1 doesn't mean much. For this song it was just the right time.
2011: I Need A Doctor- Dr. Dre feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey
2010: Llueve Por Dentro- Luis Fonsi
57. Never Close Our Eyes- Adam Lambert- Peak: 3
And yet here is another should-have-been #1. This song is awesome and the video is really cool. Great year for Glambert in my opinion and great album also.
2011: With Ur Love- Cher Lloyd feat. Mike Posner
2010: Tigerlily- La Roux
56. Born To Die- Lana Del Rey- Peak: 2
This song was the first Lana song to reach my chart. The video was amazing and in a weird turn of events this song actually got blocked from the top spot by her own "Blue Jeans."
2011: Latinoamerica- Calle 13
2010: Cuando Me Enamoro- Enrique Iglesias feat. Juan Luis Guerra
55. Safe And Sound- Taylor Swift feat. The Civil Wars- Peak: 1 [x1]
I love the hunger games and this song represents the movie so well. I'm super pissed that it wont be nominated for an Oscar. Great collabo, they need to do more.
2011: California King Bed- Rihanna
2010: Whataya Want From Me- Adam Lambert
54. Boyfriend- Justin Bieber- Peak: 2
Justin has had a good year in my chart but at the same time it hasnt been to the fullest. This song is the first example since it peaked @ #2 held off the top spot by noneother than a non-single by Katy Perry as her "Dressin' Up" started a 5 day trip to the top spot. This is not the only #2 for Bieber. He also peaked there with Chris Brown's "Next 2 You" and his own "Beauty And A Beat" although Beat is still charting.
2011: Lovesong- Adele
2010: Beautiful Monster- Ne-Yo
53. THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY (REMIX)- KATY PERRY FEAT. B.O.B.- PEAK: 1 [X1]
DOMINO- JESSIE J- PEAK: 2
For the first time every in my Best Of chart two songs are tied in the same position. When i compiled the chart i recounted the points and saw these two together. Since i didn't want to loose a song out of the Top 125 i decided to make this a double so instead of having 125 songs or a Top 100, we have 126 or the Top 101.
For Katy the original peaked @ #2 and spent a lot of time @ #3 thus giving the song a high ranking in the year end. I do count all versions of a Remix when doing the Year-End charts. The song reached #1 and became the first #1 of 2012. The video is really good. The original was #70 for 2011.
Jessie J is a different case. The song peaked @ #2 but it should've gone all the way, sorry gurl.
2011: Bad Romance- Lady Gaga
2010: Raise Your Glass- P!nk
52. Bloody Mary- Lady Gaga- Peak: 1 [x2]
This song first peaked @#3 upon the release of the album last year. The song is one of my favorites from the album and I'm happy it got enough Airplay to make it into this chart. The song was #112 last year.
2011: Assassin- John Mayer
2010: Hot Tottie- Usher feat. Jay-Z
51. Drunk On Love- Rihanna- Peak: 1 [x2]
The surprise hit of 2012 right here. I didn't like this song at first, well maybe not i just didn't pay atttention to it until I saw the movie PROJECT X and they played the song that this sample is taken from. From there the song started gathering Airplay until it finally reached the Top spot. She sounds really good in it.
2011: I Wanna Go- Britney Spears
2010: Love The Way You Lie (Pt. 2)- Rihanna feat. Eminem
TOP ALBUMS OF THE YEAR (16-13)
16. WARRIOR- KE$HA
Awesome follow to "Cannibal" which sported the #2 song of 2011 "The Harold Song." This album is superior to Cannibal but inferrior to "Animal" i think. The one good thing about this album is that you can really see growth in Ke$ha and her writing has actually gotten bettter.
2011: Watch The Throne- Kanye West & Jay-Z
2010: N/A
Key Tracks:
-Supernatural
-C'mon
-Die Young
-All That Matters (The Beautiful Life)
-Thinking Of You
15. UNORTHODOX JUKEBOX- BRUNO MARS
Just in time this album was released and it makes the chart. The album is amazing and I'm so happy that is doing so well. The album is definitely a grower so i know i will end up loving it even more later on like i did with his debut album.
2011: Cannibal- Ke$ha
2010: N/A
Key Tracks:
-Gorilla
-Locked Out Of Heaven
-When I Was Your Man
-Moonshine
-Natalie
14. BABEL- MUMFORD & SONS
This album made it this high on the chart thanks to one song (I Will Wait) and the fact that the album is just amazing. Keep it going guys!!!!!!!!!!
2011: Tha Carter 4- Lil' Wayne
2010: N/A
Key Tracks:
-I Will Wait
-Whispers In The Dark
-Babel
-Lover Of The Light
-Hopeless Wanderer
13. UNAPOLOGETIC- RIHANNA
Ok so you might be asking yourself, why is this album so low???? In reality when i do the album Best Of i do take into account how the songs have performed on my daily chart and the only song that performed well was "Diamonds." The album will probably be higher next year. This is actually one of two Rihanna albums to make the chart this year so you will probably hear more from her.
This album for me actually ranks in 2nd right after "Rated R." I know that some people really hate it but i find it very personal and fun which is what i liked about RR. Diamonds was a good intro to the album but there are too many gems to count. I am so happy she got that #1 on the albums chart that way people can stop making fun of her for not having a #1 album.
2011: Doo-Wop & Hooligans- Bruno Mars
2010: N/A
Key Tracks:
-Numb feat. Eminem
-Diamonds
-Phresh Out The Runway
-What Now
-Stay feat. Mikky Ekko
