Are you a Britney Spears Midnight Secret kind of girl? Or do you like to spritz on Versace's Yellow Diamonds in the morning?

While you might have thought your choice of perfume was just a reflection of taste, new research has revealed that there might be a bit more to it than you realised.

Instead of being purely a question of likes and dislikes, researchers at Superdrug have found that taste in perfume is also determined by where you live.



Oxford also likes a celebrity smell, although in this case, it's the boys falling for the stardust with David Beckham Homme taking the top spot.

But no one loves celebrity scents more than those of us who live in the north, with Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy topping the table in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and Staffordshire.
