Time almost always put the President as Time's Person of the Year during the year they are elected, so expect the 2016 Person of the Year to be the newly elected President. If they are incapable of putting the President that year, they would do it the following year.

Why does he make it this time? For me it seems that he doesn't act like a strong president or is the US economy strong? Are the children safe? Didn't he put wistleblower into jail? Did his goverment make some significant efforts to save the environment?

I'm in grief for the US, first the probably most dumb President, than followed by the probably most week President.

But what do I know, I'm not an US citizen, so congrats to the mighty Obama.
