Funny, because all Nicki did was ask Mariah if she wanted to keep the contestant, and as usual with Mariah unable to handle another female, she copped an attitude.

That's the reason. She told the producers that she wanted to be the only female, so for Idol to grab ANOTHER female with as strong as a personality as she has, it ultimately got her irate.
