You can tell he's not happy with Britney, he may like her but Simon is real. He knows she hasn't necessarily been an instrumental mentor for the kids and she has very little personality on the show. He just found a nice way to say it, and he's very hesitant about having her back. I think if he finds someone better he will replace her.

This was a good interview. And I like what he said about Britney - the fact that she is on tv every week, yet still she is so mysterious is very accurate.

I remember when Michael Jackson said Britney wouldn't last long because she wasn't mysterious enough. Amazing how people can be wrong.

Britney is an excellent mentor, and the best on the panel except for maybe Simon himself.

Her judging is questionable, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with how she mentors. She is totally different person in the mentor clips.

Um, you mean the whole 0.5 seconds they air of her mentoring every week? She barely knows how to console the kids when she's standing right next to them in live eliminations and they are a wreck waiting to find out if they made it or even worse when they're in the bottom 2 or eliminated. It's a very icy presence, that doesn't seem to be the bond of a strong mentorship to me. She barely even wants to hug them goodbye.

And Simon and LA don't do anything either when their standing next to their contestants during the results? Does she have to console them and nurture them because she's a woman? She held Beatrice, and consoled Beatrice when she broke down, and cried with her. She held Carly when she was in the bottom. Just cause she doesn't do it each week means nothing LA didn't even know their names and said to their faces he didn't want them. And Simon spent no time with any of them besides Emblem3. The only one who hugged and held their contestants was Demi..and how did that end up for her?

Not you turning this into a sexism issue. L.A. is mentoring grown ass men and the groups have and console eachother, barely any room for Simon! But they both seem more nurturing then Britney who is just stiff and barely wants to touch them.

Is that the best you can do?
