Plague would be perfect, I can imagine the camera zooming and panning around the earth and small explosions start when the vocal comes in, by the chorus everything has begun exploding and it skips to scenes of continents becoming smithereens. (You can also include a small description of what will happen at points in the song like I have done - this is will be a BBC quality documentary not a YouTube clip on DailyMail.com that doesn't even play at 480p)

Very true. Not very original though, ITV would use this, they already use it all the time. BBC probably wouldn't go for it because I think they overused it in Torchwood. Still thinking about variation when the world is ending. ;-)
