I think that was the point of the song though. It's chilled, calm, and light. No one expects the song to have such a deep and sad meaning. Just like people don't expect anything bad from people who then shoot in schools. The melody and tone of the song is trying to convey the way shooters often go unnoticed, I'm pretty sure.
