In the books she's never revealed (should've stayed that way, in my opinion).
And still, it was a pretty obvious one, especially after the way GG wrote off Serena when season 5 ended.

Such a stupid ending, this whole show got so boring after season 2 - it was ALWAYS the same drama.
+ Dan being GG is just lazy imo...
