Also Melanie's single reached Top 100. But it was "Listen," arguably amongst the worst material Beyonce' has ever recorded. And it itself bombed, so a singing contestant's rendition wasn't expected to do well, imo.

I'm going to have to argue that you are completely wrong. Sure, Dia and Javier topped ITunes on the
finale of their season, but beyond that, The Voice did absolutely nothing to ensure they'd be relevant artists. Cassadee has topped Itunes 3 separate times, and already has one of those songs headed to Gold status.
Going into a 4th season, The Voice needs a successful winner just to maintain it's credibility. They will do everything possible to make Cassadee their own version of Kelly Clarkson. She already has a huge fanbase (much bigger than Javier or Dia's, I mean on Twitter alone she has 330k vs Javier's 107k. Her fanbase was big enough prior to the The Voice to land a Top 40 album, the added exposure will only magnify that.)
If they rush-record her album, release it by June (with a single in April), and pimp her out during the 4th season, The Voice will have a legitimate star on their hands.
