Do you guys think the retirement days should reduce to 40 days?
Eh, I think it's just fine where it is, if you ask me. It makes it harder for songs to retire and it means only the songs that REALLY deserve it(well, not in MY opinion, per say, but the general opinion of the people who vote) will retire.
That's just my opinion, though. Besides, if you do make it 40 days, then what does that mean for the songs that passed 40 days but didn't retire? I suppose it would be "honorary retirements" and all that, but still, a valid point to bring up.

ABOUT THE RETIREMENT DAYS

But see, the problem with reducing it to 40 days is exactly that it would give more videos the chance to retire. You only have seven retired songs on the entire countdown since it began. It gives it some sort of mystique or something. Lowering it to 40 days would mean more retired songs, yes, but it would also mean that retirement wouldn't be quite as special as it is now.
