10 Tulisa
The Female Boss
I know most of you will be surprised to see Tulisa at #10 and disagree with me, but this album is really good. I first heard about Tulisa last year when she became a judge on the X Factor UK and fell in love with her while watching the show. So I was really excited when it was announced she would be releasing her debut solo album this year. I wasn't expecting it to be this good though, it has a bit of everything: pop/dance, urban/r&b and ballads/mid-tempos.

09 Rihanna
Unapologetic
I hated Diamonds for a long time, so I was expecting to also hate this album, and I did at first listen. However, after a few listens it started to grow on me. Now I love some songs, especially the ones on my top 5 below, and even find Diamonds a decent song (mostly due to its amazing performances). I still can't stand Get It Over With, No Love Allowed and Mother Mary (Love Without Tragedy is good) though.

08 Nicki Minaj
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded + The Re-Up
I find The Re-Up release pointless since Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded still has a lot of great songs that deserve to be singles. I must confess most of the times I only listen to the pop/dance part of this album, but hat doesn't mean I hate the urban songs, I like some songs such as Beez In The Trap, Roman Holiday and I Am Your Leader. This makes the album even better for me, because Nicki managed to do the impossible: make me like urban songs.
Top 5:

3 Whip It

07 Madonna
MDNA
First of all, Madonna can definitely do better, this is far from being her best. That being said, MDNA is still a good and solid pop record, better than most of the albums released this year. Madonna's not-so-good work is better than other girls best work.
Top 5:

06 Ed Sheeran
+
Ed Sheeran is without a single doubt my favorite new artist of the year. His songs are so beautiful and captivating. He's so talented that even with just a guitar and a mic he can make you watch his shows without getting bored. I can listen to his voice all day long. Not to mention he's the most adorable, cutest and hottest ginger in town.
Top 5:
1 Lego House
