Since Rihanna pulled the shocker of the decade and hit the top spot of the Billboard 200, originally speculated to be an impossible feat, American music careers have been crumbling. Ke$ha has flopped (sadly, great album), Alicia's first week sales were hurt big-time, Bruno is expected to be affected as well.

This is like the Umbrella curse of 2007, when Rihanna's iconic smash "Umbrella" caused a large influx of rain in the UK, thus causing a skyrocketing in sales of umbrellas.

Will the Billboard 200 forever be cursed by Rihanna's achievement? Will the rest of our faves no longer be able to get successful debuts, thanks to Ms. Fenty? Will this cause a million-copy debut from Sabi?

Ciara better be careful too tbh, I think Rihanna might cause her album sales to be a little bit low this time.

Wait until next year when Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Britney Spears are all slated for a comeback.

How would it ruin her career, though? She got her 12th #1 hit and her first #1 album, and they were #1 simultaneously. Clearly, she's doing something right. I'll drink some champagne to that.
