We’re only like 25 minutes into VH1 DIVAS 2012 and we’ve already witnessed three jaw-dropping moments. Of course, Adam Lambert rocked the house with his show opening performance of “Let’s Dance,” then the newly engaged Kelly Clarkson brought the house down with her stirring rendition of “Catch My Breath,” but OMG, Ciara just TORE! IT! UP! with her medley of “Billie Jean” and her new single, “Got Me Good.”
When we first saw the video for “Got Me Good” back in October, our own Bené Viera noted that Ciara “channeled a little bit of Usher, MJ and Aaliyah” in her video. So when a little birdie told us earlier this week that VH1 DIVAS would feature Ciara a Michael Jackson song, we immediately began running through the possibilities of what iconic MJ dances this stunningly gifted dancer would do. And, well, as you just saw, that song turned out to be “Billie Jean”! #SPEECHLESS

Natasha Bedingfield was sexy and amazing! OMG what a white powerhouse vocalist. I've seen her live but this was even better. Demi and Kelly did good too
That Whitney tribute was a mess. Well, Jordin's and Ledisi's parts were alright but Melanie's, there was something off. I don't like how they modernized the tracks either. Making them current to a certain extent would've been alright however they made the tracks into dance-pop tracks which was a turn-off.
LOL Ciara did better than Janet Jackson's tribute at the VMA's, now that was a pathetic tribute
Janet is older than Ciara, but when she was Ciara's age she OUT-danced her. CI did justice to her Billie Jean cover/tribute but let's not get carried away and throw Janet under the bus when she paved the way for ALL them good female singers+dancers. plus, Janet had Michael dancing in a huge screen behind her, they were practically in sync. and until i see Ciara do the same and NOT look like a lesser next to the King of Pop, i will NEVER put her over Janet. you need to take a seat!

and i know this is a bit off, but if my Queen were alive today she would have given a great tribute to MJ, Whitney, or Donna imo. in the first video below she does the moonwalk (at the Tejano Music Awards during a Latin pop-dance track).
