But Kelly Rowland can be shown has an R&B artist or Pop artist. It all depends on the person listening. We all have different personal music tastes. I find Kelly Rowland R&B in some songs and Pop in others. It just depends on the person really.

How does the race of an artist play into classifying any genre of music? Not all R&B artists are black. Yes, this genre of music traces back to African-Americans who first performed the genre with combined influences from Gospel, Jazz, and Blues. And yes, it's quite common to see black artists in R&B (and white artists in the country and rock fields) within this Mainstream world of ours, but that's kind of ignorant to say. (or at least it comes across as such)
Robin Thicke is white and he's becoming a massive artist right now as he is having one of the biggest R&B songs this year.

Kelly might have released two pop-ish singles, but if any of you actually listened to her first CD, it is mainly R&B, GOOD R&B at that. Some of you are reading too much into color, and must realize (You Will in particular, you never were that damn bright) just because Stole sounds like a Pop song, doesn't mean that it wouldn'yt be considered a R&B song, because Kelly Rowland caters to a more urban/R7B audience because she hasn't been able to get a crossover hit since Stole/Dilemna, and it's always arguable that "Stole" only crossed over a bit because "Dilemna" was HUGE at the time.

But yeah, amazing song, some of you are acting like complete idiots.

It's my opinion-Why are you such an creep? I DO love this song and I DO own Simply Deep and it IS a good album and it IS mostly R&B, this song however is not (imo), and I also believed like you said that was arguable ("Stole" only crossed over a bit because "Dilemna" was HUGE at the time).
