well admittedly the circumstances are a little different as JLS' year (2008) simon made a big deal of only offering a deal to the winner (alexandra burke), so JLS signed with Epic Records instead and clearly it worked in their favour. they've been invited back to XF countless times since (i mean let's be honest, it's the only thing keeping their careers going anyway

but yeah i'd like for UJ to go somewhere else. 1D is simons cash cow and his labels #1 priority. launching a very similar boyband probs wouldn't be high on their to-do list so i think it'd be very advantageous for them to go elsewhere. that's just my opinion though
