It's probably for the best that Britney is leaving the show, but I wouldn't blame the low ratings on her. Sure, I would have expected a lot of more viewers too with her involvement. But let's honest, the show was already damaged after it's dramatic first season. The show just doesn't work when you have the too similar American Idol on the same network too. When you add that with the fact of the messy first season with the judges-drama and poor presenter, people will just go back to superior show American Idol or go with the alternative The Voice.

The show is awful to be honest, in the UK and the US. The format seems so dated and cheesy and fake. These sorts of shows are on the way out, Britney should walk away with her fat paycheck and start being a popstar again.
