My heart is just shattered for her, my dog died in August and it was just awful. Really feel for her, my dog was more than just a pet to me and it is obvious Miley is passionate about her dogs too.

Miley clearly adored her Yorkie mix—who just turned 2 in early November—and regularly posted photos of the sweet pup on the social media site. And not only did she call Lila an "angel" but she also took time to appreciate Lila for her never-ending supply of love.
"Why would I need human friends? dude, Lila will ALWAYS love me & that's more than we can say about most humans," Miley wrote back in February.

The former Hannah Montana star also tweeted that she's going to take a break to mourn the loss of her furry friend:
"Broken. Gonna go MIA for a bit. Need some healing time. Thank you to everyone who has sent love my way. I need it," she posted this afternoon.
Luckily, Cyrus is still the proud canine mama to Ziggy, Floyd, Happy, Mary Jane and newly adopted, Penny Lane. She also has her handsome fiancé Liam Hemsworth to help heal her broken heart.

For some unknown reason, Ziggy........ grabbed Lila. Not really sure if she was playing or what? She grabbed her in just the wrong spot and Lila didn't survive............. Please understand that Miley isn't ready to talk about this and we dont think Ziggy is a mean dog........ We took Ziggy to SPOT dog rescue and they found her a new home with no other pets or children just in case it wasn't a fluke. So not only did Miley lose Lila, she feels she lost Ziggy as well.

Oh that is so horrible! She probably blames herself for allowing it to happen, that must be so traumatising for her, I'm a MAJOR dog lover, it's literally what I'm dedicating my life to and I really really feel for her.

I wouldn't be surprised if she spiralled for a while and I would not blame her either, I lost it a little when I lost my dog this summer and I didn't lose her in quite a traumatic a way. I just hope Miley cuddles up closer to the 3 dogs she has because as long as you have a dog you never really lose other dogs - they keep the memories going.
