London, Dec. 16 (ANI): Britney Spears could be losing her 10-million- pound per-season mega-deal with the 'X Factor', as her lacklustre stint on the show failed to attract viewers.
The 31-year-old pop diva is due to bow out after this week's two-night grand finale, along with music mogul judge LA Reid.
"Simon had hoped Britney would be a ratings boost but that simply hasn't -happened," the Daily Star quoted a senior executive at Fox as saying.
"It's no coincidence she is not in talks about a new deal," the senior executive said.
Fellow judge Demi Lovato is already in contract negotiations with Simon Cowell's production company Syco and Fox TV for next year's show.
Fewer than eight million viewers watched this season's episodes compared to an average of more than 12 million last year.
"She just doesn't seem to be cut out for a TV talent show," the senior executive said. (ANI)
Not surprised at all though, Britney just isn't a good judge at all and Demi and Simon have a great thing going. I knew he wouldn't fire her like some people thought he would.

I dont even know what a Daily star is I hope Demi gets a rise.
I used to watch X Factor UK during early seasons. It was so good. But then it all went downhill, trying to make it overly dramatic. Concentrating on drama instead of the talent. The audience ain't that dumb and not here for cheap scripted drama. And the US version is even worse. Simon can try hiring as many new judges as he wants, nobody can save that sinking ship.
Well to be fair they gave her the weakest team and it was her first time ever mentoring and she is pretty young. She did get much better towards the end but at that point she was stuck with the two worst singers.
Sure she wasn't the best judge but she did get the show a lot of media buzz and attention/
