If the resolution was increased wouldn't that increase the ppi in the 7" screen?
Since Apple increases the reolution by 2, then the resolution would be 1024*2=2048 768*2=1536; 2048x1536 which is the exact resolution of the retina iPads. Now the ppi would be much higher than both retina iPads, which will be 324ppi. Which is much higher than the full sized iPad. I don't think Apple would do that, but hey I could be wrong.
