But banning guns itself is not a solution. People with intent to kill will find ways to illegally get guns. I'm pretty sure if that guy was crazy enough to want to kill children, he would have gotten them from other sources if he couldn't get them himself.

No, unfortunately. We live in America, so basically this is what we can expect to happen:

- The media to talk about how wrong this shooting was.
- The media to blame somebody, whether it's a singer, movie or video game company.
- The media to feature anti-gun people who want guns banned.
- The media to contradict themselves by featuring the NRA, who will blame the parents, etc etc.
- The government to do nothing about this. Everything will remain the same, and this will happen again in the near future.

Wow. And a lot of the people in the comments are using the "they'll use other things to kill people" excuse. How on earth can that many people die from a school stabbing or a mall stabbing? Owning a gun isn't a "right" and shouldn't be in the American Constitution. And they certainly shouldn't be sold in places like Wal Mart. I know this may be rude but I'm so thankful I live in a progressive country like Canada.
