#16 Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection
Yeah, I love Katy, I have seen her live and it was my favorite concert so far. The reason this didn't even make my Top 10 is pretty obvious: I wanted more new songs. For the sake of "nostalgia" I included it nonetheless Part Of Me isn't the best of the new tracks (Wide Awake deserves this title), oddly enough it's the track I played the most, though.
#15 Greatest Hits - Chapter 1
As one can conclude from my current avatar, I also happen to love Kelly Clarkson. She was one of the first artists I ever loved and for a long time Breakaway was the only CD I listened to. And it remains a masterpiece. Nonetheless this would have been much higher in my ranking if there were more new tracks.
Usually I'm not too fond of country music, but Kelly could sing the telephone book and I'd still love it, hence I really like Don't Rush, it's beautiful! Catch My Breath and People Like Us are great to jam to
#14 Unapologetic
After listening to Diamonds I was confident this would be one of my favorite Rihanna albums. That's not what happened I'm not of the opinion that it's terrible, I can listen to it, but most of the time I just don't want to. It feels so messy and to me Rihanna sounds kinda bored the whole time. Diamonds is the best track in my opinion, Lost in Paradise, Love Without Tragedy and What Now (the bridge ) are beautiful, too. I also like Jump and Right Now (it may be generic, but it has got something I like).

I like the Complete Confection...Wide Awake is my fave song of the re-release...The demo version of POM>>>single version.
I haven't checked out Kelly's Best Of yet, but I love Catch My Breath and People Like Us
I agree with you that Diamonds is the best song on Unapologetic

I guess the demo version is the reason why it is my most-played track, since I totaled the playcounts
There isn't much more to check out, Don't Rush and I'll Be Home For Christmas are the only tracks you don't know then
Yeah, it remains unbothered by the rest of the songs. Wish it had been different

I regret deleting the demo version
Well you can't expect a fantastic album when the release is so rushed.

I still have it and I listen to it much more frequently than to the new version.
That's definitely true and as much as I want new music from her, I understand that haste makes waste. I really hope she'll release something in 2013, though

I agree with you on Unapologetic, my expectations where also very high after Diamonds because that song is probably the best thing she's ever done, and compared the that the album is sooo underwhelming. and like you said, very messy and she does sound bored on a lot of the songs, too many of them sound half-assed and contrary to what people say, I don't feel it's a very personal either. maybe lyrics-wise, but how she sings the songs, the vocals sound rather empty bar from a few exceptions.

I also asked myself why others thought it was very personal. But how could it have been since it's not written by her? Of course she could tell other people what they should write about or choose tracks that fit her personality, her life and so on, but it's just not really the same.
I agree with you, most of the time it sounds like she just sat there and sang the lyrics someone gave to her And it just appears lazy with those random partly distorted male voices...

I have the exact same problem! the fact that this album got praised for being so personal.. of course, the people who wrote the songs, they customized the lyrics to fit her, but I'm with you, if it's not written by the artist themselves it can never be 100% personal.
yeah, it lacks effort on her part, and I can't always feel her feeling the song and that's so true, all those random, unknown features, I don't get it.. she could have sang Stay very well by herself, like she showed on SNL. Eminem's part on Numb was also wasted.
with a killer song like Diamonds as the lead single, it makes me sad that so many things went wrong with this album.

There's not a single feature on this album I like. Numb just goes nowhere for example and Eminem doesn't really add something to it. And it's true, Stay was so much better when she sang it alone. Reminds me of the fact that I wanted to put this version on my iPod, thanks for that It just seems as if she didn't have the time or the desire to sing some of the verses and thus asked someone else to do it.
Yeah, I was so sad when I heard the album for the first time... I kinda accept that now, though. Maybe the album she'll probably release next November will be better again. I really hope that.
