21 is the best selling album this year AGAIN, while Talk That Talk is listed as the 8th best selling album of 2012 according to Billboard's year-end 200 chart. Set Fire to the Rain is 12 on the year-end Hot 100 chart while We Found Love is number 8 (and it already spent multiple weeks at #1 in 2011 on the Hot 100 and the Digital Songs chart)... So, with Rihanna recently releasing Unapologetic sure to at least match Talk That Talk's sales and Adele said to be releasing an album in 2013, will the reigning queens of pop music, Adele and Rihanna, be the top 2 artists yet again???
Also, take into account Unapologetic is already off to a good start garnering Rihanna her first #1 album on the Billboard 200 with her highest first-week sales to date, and has already sent the lead single (Diamonds) the top of the Hot 100 for three weeks, and Skyfall by Adele is platinum with basically no radio support due to it being a soundtrack single
Rihanna may, but Adele most likely won't. If she was releasing a new album, then yes, she would dominate for the next 3 years or so. But 21 doesn't have enough momentum left to dominate for another year. It will still sell a million or two, though, and be one of the highest selling again!

I find that rather unlikely for Rihanna unless the Unapologetic era is surprisingly successful; many major artists have released very recently or will be releasing in 2013. Adele will likely not be in the top 3 next year, unless she releases a new studio album.

Rihanna will more than likely over Lady Gaga and Bey. I mean, they both released in 2011 and Rihanna still only came up second to the legendary Adele. And people dragged Talk That Talk for its lack of promo and only two top 10 hits
