Because Nicki invented hair curlers, right? You tried. If anything, Azealia is influenced by Foxy Brown and Missy Elliot the most, just like Nicki is highly influenced by Lil Kim.
I'd actually say Azealia is more influence by Kim's rappin style and mannerisms, while Nicki takes more from Foxy, IMO.
