Sooo yesterday my roommate and I went to be in the audience of X-Factor and I thought you guys might appreciate the story:
After waiting for a long time (but not tooo long) outside the studio on benches/bleachers, and thanks to being in the priority line, the studio employees whisked me and a handful of other people into the stadium for the show. Let me tell you, it's a TINY stadium. It looks decent sized on TV but I would be surprised if 400 people fit in the entire room. I am SO so so grateful that I got to sit where I did .... I was literally at the PERFECT place, the 3rd row. The 1st two rows of seats are actually lower than the rest of the room, so the 3rd row is exactly eye-level with the judges and the performers and hosts, and the stage, etc. Needless to say, I looked at my roommate and screamed that we were going to be 15 feet away from Brit the whole time. There were other seat-holders who were getting shuffled around and having to move seats, and I was so scared it was going to be me they wanted to move since I was RIGHT in the sweet spot, Brit's seat was at my 1 O'clock so I knew I'd have a perfect view of her.
I saw Adam and Brit's bodyguard walking around and giving crew members direction, and I knew she'd be coming out soon...
It was crazy for me emotionally when the judges walked out... let me just say that Britney walked out first and waved at us MANY times, she said Hi and yelled hello to everyone multiple times. I dont really care about the other judges, but they were nice enough I guess....Bruno Mars actually performed before the show started and she came out even before THAT and, Im not kidding you, was participating in the warm-up exercises There was a guy who basically tried to hype up the audience and told us how to clap and smile and did ice breakers with everyone, and Britney was doing them all with us! waving her hands and clapping, and raising her hand when the hype man asked the audience questions like "Who in here remembers records instead of CDs". I cannot even explain how warm and friendly and full of eye-contact and laughs she was.... she was just so nice. No other judges did any of that stuff with us. And I want to say this clearly: She DID NOT have Larry or Jason or Adam following her every move, or telling her what to say. I didn't even see Larry or Jason till the very end of the show, they were kinda incognito, but Larry's daughter was with them.
Anyway, Brit was reallyyyy interactive an d was turned around watching us and waving for a longgggg time. There was a moment where she was really shocked by all the screaming, and she looked right at me (I wasn't screaming, just kind of tear-y eyed staring at her at this point), and I just waved at her and blew her a kiss and she waved right back and did the "heart' hand symbol!!! I died. DIED. I mean, obviously I've seen her at Circus (twice) and FF tour, and I had REALLLYY close seats both times, like 25-feet close, but this was 15 feet to her chair, and more like 8-10 feet when she would get up out of the chair. It was crazy. I was just... touched, instead of being hysterical like the other audience members. At CIRCUS and FF I was crazy excited and screaming and jumping and yelling, but this was different. It felt really calming and comfortable to be so close to her.
Anyway, here's the juicier deets: The judges are barely there at all in the chairs, ONLY what you see is when they are there, Simon and Demi didn't even come out sometimes for certain segments or performances (there was some other girl who performed after Bruno MArs). However, Brit was there ALOT, she stayed WAYYY more than the other judges and just seemed really content with doing her job. She was never on her phone, she was dancing and excited when Bruno was playing, and she talked with LA and sometimes Larry when she was in the chair. Demi was on her phone the ENTIRE time she was on stage/in the chair, etc. Demi never really waved, never said hi, never looked at the fans, nada. At the end she finally signed some girls sign when she was walking through the hallway.
Britney however was giving fans high fives (the ones in the pit she had to walk by to get to Carly on stage), and was just so pleasant and fun. She was in the chair even when she didnt need to be, she stayed out there with us almost the entire 2 hour taping... And did I mention she was BEAUTIFUL in person!!!! I cant explain how much better she looked tonight than the other times I've seen her in person.. I mean, she was glowing with this confidence and her skin and hair were perfect... She was literally like a Barbie.... seeing her walk by 'normal' people and even Demi made me really kind of in awe as to how beautiful her legs are (duh, but u get my point), and how lovely her smile is.
Soo, the coolest part of the night was that my sister and I were i guess seated in the VIP section, and no one was really sitting around us. Well, right before the show started I saw these 2 ridiculously hot guys... i mean, one of them was seriously the most handsome guy Ive ever seen, just my type.... and they were walking out from backstage and heading in our direction. Well, they sat right behind us, and I was like AHHHH omg so sexy, I was pretty excited. I have very particular taste so it was nice scenery. Well, toward the middle of the show, I saw Brian F walk out from backstage and my sister and I were like "Ahh Brian!", and then he started walking toward us, and sat right behind my the entire remainder of the show, those guys were his VIPs! One was his boyfriend, pretty good looking guy, and the other guy, his friend, was the one I was obsessed with. Anyway, Brian seemed really nice and it was just a great experience.
