During the service, the Pope launched his Twitter account and sent his first message in several languages to millions of online followers.

Uganda’s bill, which stipulates the death penalty for repeat gay offenders, is currently before the country’s parliament.

On Monday, dozens of people gathered outside the Ugandan High Commission in central London to demonstrate against the bill.

A letter of protest was handed in to the High Commission.

It called on Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, and his parliamentarians, to reject the bill and to stop persecuting LGBT people.

This Pope has made several comments on human equality in regards to homosexuality, but blessing someone who is passing a law to kill gays and will be responsible for thousands of future deaths, It is just DISGUSTING. Hitler 2.0 tbh.

Funny that I'm reading this type of news today. It's 'Purple Friday' here in The Netherlands and it's basically against homophobia at schools. This just destroys anything positive happening today
