The whole time everyone was hyping a November release, I knew it wouldn't be true. The 2012 album theory was just the fans misinterpreting what she said, as per usual.

Well we knew we'd get a "single" but we didn't know if it was from the album. That ended up being the Kendrick song, also there was the perfume stuff and I mean what better time to release your album then right when you get back into the limelight? It wasn't like we were just making stuff up. But she did say that she had a single ready but wasn't sure if she wanted to release something before Christmas after already dropping tons of hints.

Misinterpreting what She said there would be a new album out this year and they started hyping the lead single as early as June.

Still not as bad as saying BTW was done a year before it was released I guess

Bitchhhh omggg Remember that dumb ****!? She said her new album was done like 4 months after TFM was released I remember reading interviews about it in like February of 2010. We didn't get anymore news until like that summer with some album name hints and then the announce of it at the VMA's

Yeah, they delayed their plans for whatever reason. We would have gotten a single in September and we would have an album right now if she didn't push it back. IDK their reasoning, though.

I feel like maybe she didn't think Taylor was putting out an album.

Well she did say she wasnt putting out the album unitl it was "finished". Perhaps she feels as though it is not ready

although....she did say "soon"

I don't think they ever delayed the album. She's on a world tour until march still promoting (i guess) BTW... so I look at it as: Why would she release a new album if she's still doing the BTWB...

Honestly, the last leg of TMB shouldn't have happened so that the BTWB could have started some time in 2011.

I hope she won't wait to release a single till after the BTWB. I wanted a new single before the NA leg of the BTWB but that's not happening. So maybe new single in february and album in april?!

The decay of the blonde pop star stuff is still in effect but the album is probably lighter than it originally was I agree. She made a faster upbeat version of Princess Die as well that will be on the album.

And Adele is going to have one out next year as well. Probably in the same part of the year too.
