Discussion: Why do people pay Ciara so much dust? (Explain yourselves)

I understand that some people do not like her music and are entitled to their opinion but why do not understand is people that actually shade her and wish her the worst as if they had something personal against her. What has she done or said to make her so dislikable? Ciara has always been one of the sweetest R&B gurl in the industry and it seems like it's the cool thing to do to pay her dust. Yet people still check for her with closed blinds.

I mean she's not Christina Aguilera hated, but she seems to be hated specifically by certain fan bases. Ever since that whole "Diva" Remix? Am I right? But this sort of hate started once the Fantasy Ride era officially kicked off, when it was obvious that Ciara was a big threat to the industry. Many of you were too young to see what took place during the releases of Go Girl and Never Ever, but those who remember and took part of the action, what made you go against her or what made you stick around?

Explain yourselves.

I never really liked her. I always thing that she's pretending to be someone else. I don't know why, but I don't use her.

She doesn't make the right decisions.

And Basic Instinct completely destroyed her brand. Ppl believe it was an actual studio album with Jive when it was really an independent album. AND she choose to say nothing about that until the era was over.

She continues to dig herself a bigger hole. It's sad because a lot of ppl are willing to give her a chance.

no idea. i personally dont care for most of her songs but i respect her talent. maybe she quite hasn't found something to make her stand out musically.

Ever since Ciara came out I always looked at her as a one-hit wonder who managed to score a few more hits. She's really talented though, I don't get the hate. Maybe because she's an easy target.

I LOVED her back in the "Goodies" era, and I stanned for a while but then I just started to gradually lose interest for some reason even if I still like her. By the time "Fantasy Ride" dropped I no longer considered myself a fan (not because of anything in particular).

LOL, how can ciara be better than faves, when she can't even slay with her own songs/albums critically and commercially.

But back to this thread Ciara gets dragged because she's an easy target for jokes a la mc hammer etc... Of artists that were so popular and completely fell off. On top of that she tried to comeback two extra times and is flopping worse with each try. Coupled with her features that many consider a manly look, and not so great music being released, to being considered an aaliyah/janet wannabe. It's easy to see why she is dragged.

All of you need to get back on topic, we're not talking about who's more successful and what not, and the Aaliyah comparisons need to stop and are so unnecessary, a lot of Aaliyah sales came AFTER her death, so let's not.
