7 years? Her first album was released 6 years ago. This year she's released three singles.
Earlier this Summer was the first time she's ever mentioned a mixtape and she said it would be coming out later in the year so it's still not a long delay. Diddy has nothing to do with it, yes, he is a bad manager regarding his musical acts but in this particular case and because of their relationship, Cassie is basically the one in full control of her career at this point - making the decisions of what type of music she wants to record and who she wants to record with, when to release it, etc. the fact that she has such a laid-back and perfectionist personality doesn't help (plus financially, she is already set for life so).
I am confident we will get the mixtape on top of 2013 and if she manages to get some sort of hit single again (which will be hard since she never promotes her material but I still think she can do it since "Me & U" also happened) then we will get the second album.
I only want new music anyway, clearly her fans are not here for the ~receipts.
Act oblivious if you want to but if you're really a Cassie "stan" I'm pretty sure deep down (7 years deep down), you already know the deal.
